My Story
I wanted to take a moment to share why birth photography means so much to me and why I feel called to offer these sessions to others.
When I had my first child, I was fortunate to have a birth photographer present. Although she missed the actual moment of birth (through no fault of her own), I myself managed to capture some unforgettable images with a tripod and remote. Those photos remain some of my most cherished memories—they allow me to relive those incredible, raw emotions every time I look at them.
With my second child, my plans changed from a home birth with a midwife to an unassisted birth that my husband and I navigated together. It was a truly blissful and empowering experience, but one thing I deeply regret is not having those moments documented. I didn’t have a photographer or even my tripod set up, and I can only hold those memories in my mind.
Birth is one of the most powerful and transformative experiences we, as women, go through. It’s a celebration of life, strength, and the incredible things our bodies are capable of. This is why I feel so passionate about offering birth photography—to honor and preserve these once-in-a-lifetime moments for others.
